Welcome to Millicoma!

Home of the Mustangs! Where we are building strong minds, strong hearts, and a strong learning community every day! Millicoma serves 4th through 7th grade students in the Coos Bay Public Schools. We are committed to creating a safe, caring, collaborative learning community where student achievement is first and foremost. Classrooms grades 4-6 are self-contained, giving us the delightful atmosphere of an elementary school, while the 7th grade classrooms are content-based. While striving to maintain the innocence of our 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 year old children, we work very hard at helping those same children develop the skills they need in order to make a smooth transition into the high school. Helping our students become safe, respectful, responsible citizens is a daily occurrence at Millicoma School. Our partnership with parents and the community is vital in meeting these needs. School and District Report Cards Available on District Website School and District report cards are available for review on our District website at http://cbd9.net/curriculum/district-report-cards. The report cards provide an overview of how our schools and district performed last year. Information about how our district and schools compared to similar schools as well as the state is also included. You will find valuable information about the strengths and weaknesses of our schools. However, it does not capture the spirit, passion, and dedication of the teachers and staff. Please take a few minutes to review your school and district report cards. Printed copies are available at your child’s school. If you have any questions about your school’s report card, contact your child’s principal. If you have any questions about the district report card, contact Superintendent Dawn R. Granger at dawng@coos-bay.k12.or.us or 541-267-1310. Superintendent Granger would like feedback on how the new schedule is working and will be reviewing Parent Survey results. If you haven’t done so already, please take a few minutes to complete the survey. You can find the survey at www.cbd9.net under Superintendent’s Message. |
